We are excited to share this website with you.
Cooperative Communication is a method for getting most or sometimes all of our needs met in our relationships. Using Cooperative Communication creates intimacy and equality in relationships. We sense that we are understood and accepted for who we are. It supports us to be in authentic contact with ourselves and others. It can be used in any way that we prefer to communicate with others: live, voice, text, etc.
This website was created by a diverse group of people who have been learning about and using Cooperative Communication for many years. To see who we are, and read about our experiences using Cooperative Communication, go to “Who?” To read a little bit about the history of this concept, go to “Where?”.
We want to help people re-discover their natural ability to communicate their thoughts and feelings, using their intuition, being authentic and honest, setting boundaries, and making mistakes. On this website, you will find resources to support you in using Cooperative Communication. For a description of the basic steps in Cooperative Communication, look first at “What?” (link to What). Then for some tools to practice using Cooperative Communication, go to “How?”.
If you would like to get some personal support in using Cooperative Communication, go to “Who?”. A few of us are coaches, counselors, and teachers, and might be able to help you.
This is a free resource. We are not selling anything. We simply want to share this information, so that others can benefit from what we have learned.
If you want to use this material in your work, website, blogs, podcasts, etc, please give us credit and let us know how you are using it. We give credit to others for their contributions to Cooperative Communication, we would like you to do the same. If you would like to adapt this material so that it fits your situation, and/or translate this material into another language, please do so! And definitely share that with us, so that we can create a link in our website to what you have created.

Hopefully, this website will always be in a process of change. We will be adding material as we deepen our understanding of Cooperative Communication, create new resources (podcasts, video, and print), and as we get feedback on what works and doesn’t work. Just like in a relationship, change is constant. We are learning and growing.
